Tracy Morgan Taken from Knicks Game in a Wheelchair After Medical Incident

Tracy Morgan, the beloved comedian and 30 Rock star, experienced a medical incident courtside at Madison Square Garden during the New York Knicks’ game against the Miami Heat on Monday, March 17. The game was briefly delayed as Morgan, 56, was escorted out in a wheelchair while holding a towel over his face.

Medical Scare at MSG

Witnesses at the game reported on social media that Morgan appeared ill, with some claiming he vomited and others stating he had a bloody nose. A photo circulating online showed him vomiting on the floor, while video footage captured the moment he was taken away. The Knicks-Heat game, which ended in a 116-95 victory for the Knicks, was paused for approximately 10 minutes due to the incident.

A spokesperson for Madison Square Garden released a statement wishing Morgan a swift recovery: “We hope Tracy feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside.” Representatives for the comedian have not yet commented on the situation.

Tracy Morgan’s Health Challenges

Morgan has faced significant health struggles over the years. He has diabetes and underwent a kidney transplant in 2010. In 2014, he survived a devastating car accident when a Walmart truck crashed into his limo on the New Jersey Turnpike. The accident left him in a coma for two weeks, with a broken leg and severe injuries that required him to relearn how to walk and speak. The crash tragically took the life of his mentor, James McNair.

Reflecting on the incident a decade later, Morgan expressed gratitude for his survival and extended forgiveness to the driver involved. “I love you, and we miss you, Uncle Jimmy Mac. God bless your family,” he shared, adding that he and his fellow passengers forgave the driver.

Continuing His Comeback

Despite his past health battles, Morgan remains active in the entertainment industry. Just last month, he attended SNL50, the 50th-anniversary celebration of Saturday Night Live, and even participated in sketches during the show. Speaking on the red carpet, Morgan expressed gratitude for being part of the milestone event. “Just thank the Lord that I’m a part of this, that I survived the accident and I’m alive to be here for this.”

As fans and fellow celebrities send their well wishes, we hope to see Tracy Morgan back on his feet and courtside again soon. Stay tuned for updates on his condition.
