House fire kills two Oshikuku children

A child (6) and teenager (17) died in a house fire at Oshikuku in the Omusati region on Wednesday night. Omusati regional police commander commissioner Ismael Basson confirmed the incident on Thursday morning. “The four survivors were taken to Oshikuku Hospital for treatment,” Basson said. He said the fire has since been extinguished, but its cause remains unknown. Basson added that the deceased were in Grade 1 and Grade 8. The police are investigating the matter, Basson said.
