ANEG Foundation launches climate awareness and tree-planting project at Amedeka

The ANEG Foundation has launched a climate awareness and tree-planting initiative at Amedeka, bringing together 35 participants to promote environmental sustainability and encourage young people to take an active role in climate action. The exercise, held on Friday, October 23, 2026, involved climate advocates, Environmental Club students and members of the foundation who planted fruit trees on a designated piece of land. The seedlings included pawpaw, mango, lime and soursop, selected to expand green spaces and promote the environmental benefits of tree planting in local communities. The initiative forms part of the foundation’s efforts to advance climate action, protect the environment and encourage youth participation in building greener and healthier communities.
