North Tongu residents expected at Yɛ Gye Yɛ Sika demonstration – Senyo Amekpulenu

Residents of North Tongu and persons displaced by the Akosombo Dam spillage are expected to join the Y3 Gye Y3 Sika demonstration in Accra on Tuesday, November 3, the Volta Regional Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Emmanuel Senyo Amekpulenu, has said. The protest, scheduled to begin at 6:00 a.m., is expected to bring together young people and other concerned groups to demand accountability over reported financial discrepancies. Speaking on The AM Show with Maame Esi Nyamekye Thompson, Mr Amekpulenu said the demonstration would also provide an opportunity for residents affected by the Akosombo spillage to demand funds intended to support their recovery and rebuild structures destroyed by the disaster.
