TransNamib suspends CEO

TransNamib Holdings Limited has suspended its chief executive, Desmond van Jaarsveld, and its executive for engineering and technical services pending an independent investigation. In a statement, TransNamib’s board of directors says it had placed the two officials on precautionary leave while the investigation continues. The board says it made the decision after following the required procedures and with the agreement of works and transport minister Veikko Nekundi.
